The details make the difference

If you know the product used previously, share the name and approximate application date. Photograph peeling, worn or differently colored areas. The preparation plan needs to account for what is already on the wood rather than assume a new finish can simply be placed over it.
An inspiration image can establish a direction, but lighting, existing wood and the selected product affect the appearance you see. Ask about an appropriate sample on the actual material. Confirm whether the finish is intended to show more of the grain or create a more uniform appearance.
Clarify cleaning, preparation, repairs, selected product and the surfaces to receive it. Include stairs, railings and any areas you expect to be excluded. Application and return-to-use timing should follow the product and actual conditions, not an assumed universal schedule.

Before we get started
Yes. Deck staining and restoration are part of our services. The preparation and finish depend on the existing surface and condition.
Use a photo as inspiration, not an exact color guarantee. Confirm the selected product and an appropriate sample for the actual material.
Yes. Mention the repairs and finishing together so the proposed scope can account for both.
The existing coating, condition and selected new product need review first. Send photos and any product information you have. The preparation and compatibility should be settled before the finishing work is agreed.
Ask for the exact surfaces to be listed in the estimate. A deck-floor scope does not automatically include every railing, stair, post or underside. Specify the finished result you want from the beginning.
Confirm that with the selected product and the actual application conditions. The project instructions should explain when foot traffic, furniture and normal use can resume; this site does not promise one timing for every finish.
